"You may not remember this now - but I was getting rather stressed by my driving lessons and I have to say that I implemented positive action as a result of the Stressbusters day... " (R. Lancaster, Probation Officer)
Everybody needs a regular, positive input to rise up to, and maintain their best performance, reduce stress, resolve conflict and realise their potential. NLP is one of the most powerful personal development tools available for helping people to realise their true potential. But, of course, the only real way to evaluate something is to try it out – that’s an NLP core principle – take action, notice results, adjust, take more action …
That’s why I’m offering to give a session free because I know it can make a big difference. It changes the view, give people more choices and access to their best thinking and creativity, changes their beliefs about themselves and what is really possible. When we learn to shift the view, suddenly, all sorts of choices are available that didn’t seem to exist before. How we feel (our ‘state’) changes everything! So here’s a bit more about what it is, how it works and what it can do …
“Pump Up Your Volume and Get Back on the Bus!” – or the “Pumpkin Pep-up” - a one hour, stand back, take a breath, change the view, create more choices, have fun session for groups of up to 15 people. Designed to re-focus, re-energise, provide clarity, widen the view, resolve conflict, add positivity and teach improved communication skills for great connection between people. An NLP based training that can really change minds and start new conversations.
These sessions can be held weekly, biweekly or monthly to fit in with available time slots. They can be early morning, lunchtime or evening. The important thing is do them and notice the difference.
Why do them?
We all lose the plot at times. Just like any machine that’s expected to “keep on keepin’ on” we humans need our form of servicing too. We are under more pressure than ever to perform so we need and deserve constructive and useable feedback, time to focus on giving back to ourselves, as well as being able to have fun, reconnect with colleagues and recommit to being our best. Otherwise the build up of negative ‘stuff’ – stress, illness, time off, negative focus, loss of self esteem, blame, guilt, anger – will take its toll, to be sure.
The Benefits
Here are some of the potential benefits of running regular Pumpkin Pep-Ups:
- Learn how to ‘reframe’ negatives and keep confidence and self esteem high
- Get insight and perspective on conflicts, stress and “problems”
- Install powerful “state changers” that transform responses
- Understand how to use Rapport, Pacing and Leading to influence anyone
- Use language to transform your thinking and communication
- Stop ‘neurotic thinking’ in its tracks and develop the inner coach
- Set outcomes to define your next level of excellence
The Pumpkin Pep-Up
Ground rules: in this room you are able to be in touch with your best – the open, learning self. This ‘you’ chooses to stand back, co-operate and see more. Anything revealed in this session is confidential. We respect everyone and give constructive feedback. Negative and potentially conflict creating contributions are not welcome. If there are existing tensions, or conflicts running under the surface, this is the place to see them in a different light. Access your constructive; co-operative; curious; compassionate; open to learning state here.
An example: someone’s problem is a bullying relationship. Her experience is of being walked all over and not respected. When she accepts that she is contributing (no blame) to the way she is treated she can go to the next stage. She can begin by asking questions like “what do I want here?” ”What do I need?” She can then decide what resources (states) she needs to set a boundary and change her self image.
Learn to get in rapport and “pace” people – see the world from where they’re standing – then you can lead (influence) them.
Build an inner coach resource in your head and use it to tame and replace the crazy, neurotic rubbish that masquerades as “the truth”. The truth is that as human being we make mistakes and can attract unhappy responses from others (who do not communicate well). We don’t have to be defined by any of that. Our job is to find ways to “expand our map” learn and improve. Today’s stress and problems are the means to move on up to your next level of excellence.
